Senior & Downsizing Moving in Venice & West LA
Local and long-distance moving, partial or full packing, and storage options for seniors and families planning a smaller home.
Plan the move around the smaller home
Moving Pro provides local and long-distance moving for seniors and families downsizing in Venice and across West LA, with partial or full packing available. Before requesting a quote, make a list of the furniture and boxes that will travel to the new home and note any items that may need storage.
Compare that list with the space available at the destination, including room sizes, doorways and access. Share the moving date, both addresses and any building access requirements when you contact Moving Pro so the conversation starts with the practical details.
Choose partial packing or full packing
Moving Pro offers both partial and full packing, so you can ask for help with just a few belongings or the whole packing job. Tell the team which items you plan to pack yourself and which you want included in the moving quote.
Moving Pro also handles art, electronics, antiques and music equipment. Identify those pieces early, particularly when a smaller home changes where they will go, so their handling can be discussed alongside the rest of the move.
Discuss storage as part of your move
Moving Pro offers short-term and long-term storage for moving customers only. If the new home cannot accommodate everything at once, ask about storage when you discuss the move rather than assuming every item must arrive on the same day.
Prepare separate lists for belongings going to the new home and items you want to discuss storing. Ask how the proposed storage arrangement fits your moving dates and what is included in the quote before making a decision.
Local downsizing or a longer move
Moving Pro serves Venice, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey and other West LA communities listed below, and provides long-distance moving as well as local moves. Whether you are helping a parent relocate nearby or planning a move farther away, start with the destination, inventory and timing.
For a complex or customized move, describe the access and handling requirements when you contact the team. You can then discuss packing, specialty items and storage together, using the related service pages below to prepare your questions.
